***This is my version of a backstory for the Murkland my sims live in. We are free to make up our own. I wanted to share mine with you.
Hello, my name is Mendy Style. You may already know some about me, but I felt it was only proper to introduce myself again. I am the daughter of Pally Style and Wound the Mad Mudder. I am one of, originally, 9 children. Recently though we have discovered we have another half brother who shares our mother's DNA. She has said, 'if he is a part of her, he is a part of us all'. So we all have grown to love and accept him as one of us.
I'm a writer, a friend, a sister, a daughter and most of all, I'm a Murklander. After I left home I moved into a colony of librarians and other writers. We all share the love of books and the knowledge they contain. We also look after two small orphans left in the bushes outside our camp. I often wonder about how they came to be there, who left them and what led them to do so.
That leads me to thinking about my own history and the events that led to the life we all have come to know today. Often while I tend our trash plants, I ask myself the whys and hows of Murkland. The truth is, there is much I don't know. You see, I was born in the "after". My mother grew up in a shelter camp in the "during". There are only a few in Murkland who could tell the tale of the "before". I have decided to find them and get them to tell me their story. What kind of life they lived before and what brought them to Murkland.
I hope you will follow me as I look into the past and try to get the backstory on our Murkland. I will be talking to the following list of people;
She worked at a chemical factory in Nukecrest under the direction of the CDC.
She was born only a few days before the "event" and grew up in a safe camp.
Mayor Epoch Salamander, his wife Aeon and son Chiliad:
They lived in the same camp as my mother. They also held political careers in the "before". Chiliad was born at the camp.
Veegan the Freegan:
Veegan started a small group of survivors who lived off what was left of the land after the "event". He also was the one to discover the trash plant.
Mad was, surprisingly, also at the small camp my mother was in when she was young.
Dr. George Wonder:
The Doctor used to work for the CDC. Some say he was the one that started the whole thing, but we shall soon find out.
I am sure this will be a most interesting journey. Or at least I hope it will be. I look forward to getting a better understanding of the people I share this world with and what part they had in the "before". Hmm, I better stock up on trash fruit first. You never know how long a journey will be until you get to the end.
